BPD Response to Coronavirus

Updated March 16th: The 2020 Annual Conference has been cancelled. Please see below for the full statement from the Board of Directors.

Greetings,

The BPD Board met this morning at 11:00am CST/12:00pm EST to discuss the status of the 2020 BPD Conference. We have been working on this situation for some time. There were many components to consider and we wanted to provide the best solution possible while also eliminating any future confusion.

After a week of intense deliberations in a rapidly changing national situation, the decision was modified to cancel the conference. We have been working to mitigate the losses from the conference including the $226,000 contracted fee with the hotel. We appreciate all the feedback that has been provided to the Board both directly and indirectly.

All current registration fees for the 2020 conference will be applied to the next conference which is being held in Columbus, Ohio in 2021.  All presenters who had an accepted presentation and need documentation of the cancelled presentation can retrieve from the Executive Director, Amanda Scott at ascott@bpdonline.org.

Again, we thank you all for your membership and continued support of BPD. We look forward to seeing you in Columbus, Ohio.
